Basically every kid in the late 90’s played the Heroes’ games, and we are crazy happy to turn our childhood love into a miniatures based board game. “In Poland, this game was one of the most iconic games we played. Jarosław Ewertowski, CEO of Archon Studio says: We know that two of the three starting towns will be Castle and Inferno, the third has yet to be revealed but if they are working on Medusas then it seems like Dungeon is most likely. It looks like there will be game cards for hero level ups and spells that are very faithful to the original game. The artwork for the creature cards by Iana Vengerova looks incredible so far. It will use hexagonal board pieces that get revealed as you explore the world map which is a mechanic I really enjoy as it keeps games fresh and interesting with different terrains every time you play. It looks like maybe they will come unpainted which can lead to some really cool looking editions of the game as people paint their own copies. The sample they have up of the medusa looks great, so I hope the rest can look just as good. There will be 30 miniatures to use of both heroes and creatures. While that is still pretty far away, we can see a few details about the game already. Archon Studio has a licensing agreement with Ubisoft and is set to launch a Kickstarter to make this idea a reality in November 2022. Who here played the Heroes of Might and Magic Games? I love them, and 3 is by far my favorite one, so I am very excited to hear that they will be making a board game version of this game.
